Should I put a photo on my resume for jobs in India?
No, not for corporate, IT or startup roles. A photo gives the parser an image block instead of text, pushes your skills further down the page, and adds nothing a recruiter needs before a shortlist call. Keep photos for portfolio work where appearance is genuinely part of the job, such as modelling or on-camera roles.
Does the declaration line at the end hurt my CV?
It won't get you filtered out on its own, but it works against you. The line and signature occupy space a parser scores as nothing, and they signal a template copied from a college placement format. Recruiters reading hundreds of CVs never check it. Replace those lines with certifications, tools or a measurable result.
